Blog: The new era for BSC in the Finshape family

The last part of the year is always intense and rich with events, and I am very happy that this year we at BSC will be contributing to this as well.
I am proud to announce that we have established the Finshape Group. This brand new leader in the banking software segment has set out to help traditional banks with their digital transformation in these challenging post-pandemic times. W.UP, a Hungarian company that is an expert in data and digital banking personalization, has joined us in the project, and the entire merger has been led by PortfoLion, a renowned Hungarian investment fund that will provide our group with capital for further growth. From my point of view, this is not really a merger as such. I see this move as a strong alliance between two companies that share the same values, have a very similar corporate culture and, most importantly, share the same vision. Our joint digital banking based on data and personalisation is the only possible solution for financial institutions that want to keep up with the times and not lose customers.
With its AI-based digital personalisation platform, W.UP perfectly complements the BSC portfolio. Thanks to this, we are able to offer our clients a comprehensive and tailored solution. Traditional banks will be able to make the most of their existing potential and compete boldly with the tech giants. They will not just passively follow the innovations of their competitors, but will set trends themselves.
Although the organisational structure and staffing of BSC offices will not change, the creation of the Finshape family will bring many changes. The size of the group, its stronger market position and the knowledge that we can share together are crucial.
The cost of digitisation is rising and banks are spending more and more on it every year. We, as Finshape, sense a lot of potential. We want to provide them with the best technology and services that will transform them into digital leaders. With PortfoLion’s strong background and financial backing, we are very well positioned to not only develop and improve our solutions, but also to bring other companies that are the right fit into our group to help us fulfill our vision.
