Czech BSC powers the most innovative corporate and investment bank in Central and Eastern Europe

The Czech leader in banking software development, Banking Software Company (BSC), is picking up more international awards through its work with TBC Bank, the Georgian market leader, which has successfully expanded into Uzbekistan this year. TBC, which uses solutions from BSC, has recently received several awards from the prestigious Global Finance magazine. It successfully defended its title as the most innovative corporate bank in the CEE region and also won the award for the best online portal, while also enjoying two local firsts. It was named Georgia’s Bank of the Year 2021 as well as the country’s Best Investment Bank.

In the face of strong international competition, TBC Bank celebrated its repeat title as the most innovative bank in the region while also receiving the award for the best online portal for corporate clients. In doing so, the bank confirmed not only its exceptional technological maturity, but also that it never stops thinking about the needs of its clients. The winners of each category were selected by a jury of renowned Infosys analysts and editors of the well-known trade magazine Global Finance whose yearly awards have a long tradition.

In addition to the multinational awards, TBC Bank collected two local prizes. “We are very appreciative and I would like to thank not only Global Finance magazine, but also all our employees. We’ve had a busy year. We faced a global pandemic that put a lot of pressure on our digital channels, and it was our employees who really put in an incredible effort to meet the demands of our clients,” says George Tkhelidze, Deputy CEO Corporate, Investment Banking and Wealth Management at TBC Bank, adding, “Even in these difficult times, we’ve thrived. We have not only maintained our position as market leader in Georgia, but also successfully entered the Uzbekistan market. ”

These successes carry a significant Czech footprint as TBC Bank uses a banking software solution from BSC. “We have been working together for a long time and we are very pleased with TBC’s global success. BSC has developed a custom digital operating system for banks and financial institutions around the world that provides all the functionality for digital client services, while allowing the customer to access services provided by independent entities through the banking app they’re already familiar with. This allows the financial institution to integrate its own diverse components and third-party applications to meet any customer need. “Although every banking market is different, with the digital components that are part of our Digital Bank OS, we can achieve great results anywhere,” explains Petr Koutný from BSC.

The winners of each category are selected based on an assessment of a number of parameters related to the quality of digital services. These include, for example, the success of the bank’s strategy for attracting customers to use its digital services, the growth of the digital customer base, the range of the bank’s digital product offerings, the benefits of the bank’s digital initiatives and, last but not least, the design and functionality of the bank’s web and mobile sites.
